A growing concern in the public and private sectors, the media, and, significantly, within the environmental regulatory agencies, is the public health-hazard presented by the proliferation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in water and wastewater. Regulatory agencies propose including PFAS monitoring in wastewater discharge permits and taking legal action against industrial PFAS polluters. This regulatory activity makes it necessary for such industries to sample and test for PFAS contamination in and within designated miles of their plant.

You must follow unique, exacting methods to collect PFAS samples. PFAS samplers must be dedicated solely to PFAS sampling, for instance.
